couple of updates + discounts

In this email I have a couple of updates, some discounts we’re running and a new tool you can use to check your site speed in about 10 seconds.

Two short SEO updates

Two new quick updates for you this week in the SEO world:

There was an announcement by Google a few weeks back that they are only crawling documents up to 2mb in size. For most sites its probably not an issue at all but in our real world testing we’ve typically seen sites with a lot of pages over 3mb of initial load size will struggle to rank so it’s a good reminder to keep pages lean, more on this here:

Contact Us pages are critical

In a previous email I talked about Contact Us page optimization (link here https://app.bentonow.com/share/KjbNQLmXPn071X) , there’s a new article on Search Engine Land about the same topic and confirms that Google specifically crawls contact us pages for details about a business. See the article here:

Once thing we see again and again is Contact Us pages missing from the main navigation on sites, that’s an easy fix it most cases.

March Discounts

The team has some spare capacity at the moment so we’re running a short 4 day sale on three of our core services, all designed to fix the things that are quietly killing your rankings and conversions. Discounts available until close of business Thursday.

Here’s the breakdown:

1. Site Speed Optimization Audit & Consult with Simple Implementation — $250 OFF (normally $995, now $745)

We audit every page, every plugin, every script. You get a full report showing exactly what Google sees, what’s slowing you down, and a prioritised action plan. This is our most popular site speed service and a great fit for small business.

More about this here: https://www.wpspeedfix.com/wordpress-speed-optimization-consultant/

2. Site Speed Optimization Audit & Consult with 4-6 Week Implementation Sprint — $500 OFF

This is our site speed service for bigger and more complex sites or sites that are highly monteized. We get in, optimise your site top to bottom — caching, image compression, code cleanup, server config, Core Web Vitals — and get you loading fast. If you have a high traffic site, a site that would considered enterprise or a well monetized site, this is the service for you.

Same link again for this one: https://www.wpspeedfix.com/wordpress-speed-optimization-consultant/

3. SEO Audit Service — $500 OFF

This service is a full technical SEO teardown. We look at indexing issues, crawl waste, thin content, broken links, schema markup, mobile usability — the full picture. Especially important now that Google is being pickier about what it indexes and SEO is becoming much more competitive because of AI

To take advantage of these discounts, head to our website at the links above, click the order button, add the coupon MARCH2026 in the checkout to apply the discount and then complete the checkout. There’s a short onboarding form after checkout and once completed we’ll get to work.

New Reporting Tool

If you’re not sure whether you need speed work, you can do a quick site speed check on your site using our new tool here:

https://www.wpspeedfix.com/cwv-report.html

It’s a brand new tool so there will definitely be some bugs but basically enter your URL and it will pull data from Google Core Web Vitals dataset and give you the historical site speed. Note that must use your exact URL and you need to have at least 50-100 visits per day to have a big enough Core Web Vitals dataset to run a report.

This report replaces our old Core Web Vitals reports and will give you a breakdown of your site speed including historical site speed in some pretty graphs.

Thats it for this email, any questions, just hit reply – if you’re stuck with site speed or need help with SEO, email me back with some background on the problem you’re looking to solve and we can send over some recommendations.
