Avoid the Spam Box with SPF, DKIM and DMARC records

From WP Speed Fix Newsletter

Short email today as we’ve had a handful of customers this week ask for help. On 1 February Google is rolling out some new requirements for what email they’ll accept from any domain sending reasonable volumes of email.

In short, you MUST have SPF, DKIM & Dmarc DNS records setup otherwise it’ll likely Google/Gmail will refuse to accept your email.

These records tell email servers who is allowed to send email on your behalf. If one of the services that sends email for you doesn’t have an SPF record setup it’ll likely that email will be rejected.

If you’re on one of our hosting and maintenance plans our team can help set this up for you, just email support@wpspeedfix.com

If you’re not on a maintenance plan our team can help you set this up if you pickup a Quickfix Service here

To set this up we’ll need to know who your email is hosted with, we’ll need and list of all services sending email on your behalf and we also use the free Dmarc Management tools in Cloudflare so we’ll need access to your Cloudflare account to set this up.

That’s it for this email, hit reply if you have any questions or need more info on the items above.

If you haven’t checked your Core Web Vitals stats in a while it’d be worth taking 10 minutes to do a quick checkin. Google’s new INP metric goes live in a couple of months and it may need some attention.

Click here to generate a Core Web Vitals Dashboard Report for your site – it takes about 90 seconds, is 100% FREE with no optin required.
